For the last 50 years Mr. Eichler has been an International Business lawyer who concentrates his practice on worldwide trademarks, copyrights, and merchandising/licensing as well as related International business transactions. He previously practiced at prominent law firms in New York, Los Angeles and Phoenix before joining the firm of Weiss & Moy, P.C.

Mr. Eichler has been or is responsible for the worldwide protection of such properties as STAR WARS, STAR TREK, The HUNGER GAMES Trilogy, RAMBO II, RAMBO III, TERMINATOR 2, TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES, TERMINATOR SALVATION, TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES, BARBIE, 1984 WINTER OLYMPICS, BAYWATCH, TARZAN, PEBBLE BEACH, ALF, THE UNITED STATES FOOTBALL LEAGUE, BREEDER'S CUP, WOODY WOODPECKER, CATHY, THE PRICE IS RIGHT, THIS IS YOUR LIFE, CANDID CAMERA and ZORRO. He also has been or is responsible for the worldwide trademark and merchandising needs of celebrities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, David Hasselhoff, Wolfgang Puck/SPAGO, Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra and Cher.

Equally important, he has been or is responsible, worldwide, for such financial trademarks as BANK OF AMERICA, SECURITY PACIFIC, and TRANSAMERICA, and such business trademarks as TECHNICOLOR, SPINNING, UCLA, FAMOUS AMOS, CAPITOL RECORDS, UNITED ARTISTS RECORDS, BLUE NOTE RECORDS, RINGO RECORDS (RINGO STARR), TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX FILM CORPORATION, UNITED ARTISTS FILMS, CENTURY 21 and VIDAL SASSOON.

In his International business practice, Mr. Eichler represents companies, both in the United States and abroad, who are seeking international franchisees, distributors, joint-venture partners and the like. In the past, he has been responsible for the establishment of a network of franchisees throughout Southeast Asia for The Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookie Company and, on a more limited geographical basis, he achieved the same result for a well-known ice cream company.

Mr. Eichler is active in the emerging areas of the protection of the post-mortem rights of publicity of deceased famous personalities and has worked or works with the rights holders for Albert Einstein, Johnny Weissmuller, Groucho Marx, James Cagney, Mae West, Boris Karloff, and Vivien Leigh in the enforcement of these rights.

He represents or has represented several prominent cartoonists and newspaper columnists and, as part of such representation, has negotiated their worldwide syndication agreements.

Mr. Eichler has lectured widely, both domestically and internationally, especially on the worldwide protection of licensing and merchandising properties. He has been Legal Editor of The Licensing Book, the leading publication in the licensing area, and Guest Editor/Contributor to numerous legal publications.
